i just don't think she intended to be rude.

if this had happened here in finland, i would be almost certain of that. people do stuff like that because they think its funny, but those of us who are a little more wordly realize how ignorant it is. it makes me cringe when i see people make obvious stupid jokes about cultural differences thinking they're funny and original because they only see foreigners once a week - what they don't realize is that those same foreigners deal with that crap constantly.

americans live in diversity and thus should know better, but some people are still really stupid and dont know better. i think this girl was really stupid. i dont think it was her intention to be rude.

so let her be stupid and laugh at her and don't let it bother you.
