Default Re: Dealer Comments On Your Play -- What Do You Do?

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
I would have said,"Why are you talking to me like you know me?"

Then never tip him again. Unless you have a relationship with the guy, a sarcastic comment like that=NO TIPS EVA, and its not even close. No need to tell the floor.

[/ QUOTE ]

At the Mirage, you will be asked to leave the poker room if you announce to the table that you don't intend to tip.

Tipping is a personal decision, once you share your no tipping policy with the table you might be breaking the rules. As I said earlier, go see the floor.

[/ QUOTE ]

It just seems to me that that rule wasn't made for this kind of situation. First off, op would not be announcing that he would never tip again, merely that he was not going to tip that particular dealer again. And not for no good reason, but because the dealer did something that was inappropriate and offensive. Who is going to tell the floor person after all? Not the dealer, because he would know, like you pointed out, that the floor would find the dealer's comment inappropriate.

I would consider responding, with a stern voice and stare:

"Thank you, I am always looking for ways to save money." He will figure out what you are talking about.
