I don't consider Cecil Cooper and Gorman Thomas obscure. From the 1982 Brewers, guys like Pete Ladd and Roy Howell were obscure.

I think for the purposes of making this thread fun, obscure means some player that tickles your memory when you hear the name - like Odibe McDowell for me. Backups that played for one year and no one ever heard of don't add a whole lot IMO.
