Re: Stranded in Utah With No Money: A Trip Report
Yeah, its full of abandoned looking buildings. My phone is [censored] up and dies after about 10 minutes of talking, battery is pretty old, and I was standing outside an abandoned gas station that looked like someone used it as a storage place with my charger plugged in so my phone wouldn't die while I tried to convince my friends to come get me tonight.
The hotel staff here is pretty awesome. They've been very nice and accomodating. One suggested a place that would deliver me some food and when I called they wouldn't take my debit card, and I was out of cash. I went to the front desk and asked where the closest place I could walk to was to use and ATM and the lady said 'Can you drive a stick?' and then told me to go out to the SUV out front and the keys were in it. Only stipulation she gave me was 'Don't go driving to Vegas now.' This town is one main strip that's like 3 or 4 miles long so it would have been about a 2 mile round trip walk. Saved me a bunch of time, which is about the one thing I have a ton of lol.
