Why is SNG rake so high?

Dear Eric:

Thank you for pointing us to this thread, and we completely agree with sentiments of the original poster.

As a result, we are happy to announce that we will be taking affirmative steps to increase the rake in mtts and cash games to achieve the equilibrium referred to. As he pointed out, it makes little sense to charge so much more for sngs.
