Default Re: aba caught bluffing against bobby baldwin in 1.8mil pot

SOME of my information comes from Russ, since I didn‘t feel like chasing the rest down. By the way you can checkout "Gambling Wizards," at the Las Vegas Library. I am sure I was one of a few people who moved to Las Vegas to play cards and got a library card right away. they have some other really good Vegas books that are hard to find.

I also just ordered "Gambling Wizards," from Amazon. I cannot be sure if this is where I got my info from.

I went up in my attic and broke out the gambling books (about 40 of them). "Aces and Kings" by Michael Kaplan and Brad Reagen.

p71 "In the 1970s and early 80's, cocaine was as prominent in the poker rooms as bottled water is today...Even Reese got sucked in--though not to the extent of some of his pals. On one occasion, according to Robison, several of them (including Ungar holed up and played an epic gin rummy match that lasted more than three weeks. They sent out for cocaine, under the condition that the losers would ultimately pick up the tab. The final bill, just for coke, was more than $90,000."

Here is a link to a profile of Danny Robison, Chips partner. They even bought a house together.

p72 “Robison says Spilatro then demanded 25 of his and Reese’s poke winnings, in exchange for his protection from the cheaters and other Mafia muscle in town. Robison says it took them more than a year to break free of the extortion. “

p73 “As a result Reese refuses to discuss Spilatro. “I had a lot of trouble with [Spilatro]. Everybody did,” he says.

Phil Hellmuth on Doyle:

This is a transcript of a Phil Hellmuth interview that can (at least it used to be) be listened to at
LiveActionPoker.com The part about cheating and RGP is in part two of the interview. It runs from 10:50 to 12:05 of part two. Notice Phil says Doyle told him he never
cheated in a game with Phil - Not that Doyle never cheated.

Phil Hellmuth - "There was a lot more cheating going on in the 80's."

Later
"When I have Doyle Brunson come up to me and say, 'Phil I swear to God on My children's lives that I have never cheated you in a poker game before.' You know, I believe it. I believe Doyle. You know, so maybe there was some stuff these guys were involved with in the early
'80's. I believe that to be the case. Yes. But I don't think there's been very much cheating going on in poker in the '90's. And you know. Again. I don't know. I'm more of an outsider in the game these days. But, you know, I sure managed to win my share of tournaments. If there was something going on they didn't do a very good job."
Phil's comments about cleanliness are directed towards tournaments and not high level live games.

First off Russ, I hope this stays off the record. I don't need anybody knowing about this e-mail if you know what I mean. I KNOW also that Doyle is a big fat cheat, I can't stand him one bit.

When you guys started this whole thing I was really excited about the idea. I figured you guys were going to expose Doyle for what he is. You see, I'm in no position to.
You guys just aren't coming up with enough concrete evidence though, and recently I think you guys went the wrong way. Your focus should be what you KNOW for sure is true, anything at the Bellagio is difficult to prove.

Also, why would you use Ted Forrest's name? Ted is no
cheat, this I know for sure. Where did you get that info?
If you guys are going to talk about the Bellagio game, eventually you have to be more specific. Also, I hope you guys keep up with the honest player report as well. I'm very concerned with what this whole thing is doing to honest people's reputation.

If I ever so much as hear that Jennifer Harmon is implicated in any of this you will have a LIFETIME PROBLEM WITH ME. At present I have no beef with you, and I'd like things to stay that way. Jennifer Harmon has never cheated a day in her life, and I want that reputation protected.
Cool?

Stick with Doyle and Chip. Geez, use Men the Master too he literally is the biggest cheat in tournament poker today, no question. You have no idea what this [censored] has done to Jennifer. She was crying when she heard all this [censored] because she was worried her name was going to be
mentioned in something. I told her not to worry.

This woman is my best friend in the whole world, and if her
reputation is important to her, it's just as important to me. This I'm sure you will understand.

So, please continue with telling rgp who you know to be honest, I hope that Jennifer's name is at the top of that list. By the way, she has no idea I'm sending you this e-mail, and I hope it stays that eay.

This is a small favor I'm asking for, I'd like to help you guys in any way I can, but it HAS to be strictly confidential.

Sincelerely,
Daniel(never cheated a day in his life) Negreanu
