Re: aba caught bluffing against bobby baldwin in 1.8mil pot
Funny thing about life, everyone thinks they have everyone beat, they think they are smarter, can learn faster...but usually like this Kid is finding out, it's not that easy or everyone could do it. Stu Unger won young, Sidel won young, but than they went thru slumps (Unger's was mainly due to his drug problem). Everyone thought this kid was the new JC of poker, turns out he's human like the rest of us.
He's out-classed right now. He's young and let's face it, sure he has more hand experience (due to his online play), but now he's playing live, so he has far much less live hand experience. You know what, that means a whole hell of a lot in a live cash game. Just like anything else in life, a guy whose been playing 3 years, isn't going to be as good as a guy who's been playing 23 years. He'll be back, but I think everyone thought he was a lot better than he was. Don't get me wrong he's damn good, but not the best cash game player out there and certainly not the best poker player, not yet at least. Let's see what happens in a few years, he should only get better. He's certainly not ready yet (to be crowned the King of Cash Game), his own statement about wanting to go home clearly shows he not 100% ready to handle the huge swings a huge money game like that has to offer.
