If you're going to make up a loss, make it a vague "I just lost a 1.8 million dollar pot to some Asian guy who didn't give his name" post. If you give the name of the opponent, the IRS will be able to investigate it much easier. I have doubts whether aba actually did this, by the way- it might be fairly easy to hide 25 grand you made in Vegas, but hiding a few hundred grand or more has to be far more difficult. Maybe buy a bunch of investment-grade diamonds and hide them somewhere, but why not just go ahead and pay the taxes and then you can invest the remainder openly in truly lucrative investments. |
