Default Am I Too Short For Way Ahead/Way Behind?

$70 tournament, blinds 300-600, I've got ~5400 after posting the BB. I've got K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG, who's been playing pretty tight, min-raises to 1200. I call.

T2700 in pot. Flop K55r. I check, UTG min bets 600, I call, thinking I'm either way behind AA/AK/KK or ahead and with Villain drawing to 2-3 outs.

T3900 in pot. Turn is an ugly, ugly off-suit A. I check, UTG bets 600, I call.

T5500 in pot. River is a Q. I check, UTG puts me all-in for 4800, I fold.

I know I'm short and all, but I just don't see how I can be ahead on the river. Was it a mistake to call with KQs in the first place? I was hoping to semi-bluff all-in if I picked up a draw or a pair, but on that flop, I just didn't see Villain folding better hands or calling worse hands. Am I just unlucky the A came on the turn? I was willing to get it all-in otherwise.
