What Should I do for Newhouse?

who cares if Gary's motivation is "altruistic" or not? I don't even think he's implied that it's particularly altruistic so "as altruistic as you are trying to make it out to be" isn't even sensical, much less relevant.

I've known Gary for a long time, and I believe he's aware that there are self promotion benefits to this. who gives a [censored]? I don't really know Newhouse, but everyone seems to think he's a pretty good guy (aside from the vile scumbaggery of his time as an evil weed overlord)

haven't we all spent a little time as an evil weed overlord for some extra cash?

so why don't we concede that some people think that gary's a shameless self promoter, and Mark's a degenerate, and try and come up with a cool idea for something nice to do for Mark?

It's a shame that Mark isn't a little bit older, if he was closer to my age, you could pull a move like Will Farrell did for his buddy in STF and send him off to Space Camp!

i'm guessing that ppl who know him better would be able to pick something out that he'd really enjoy... but i'm not sure. He did score pretty big.. if he really wanted to go whitewater rafting, or skydiving, or whatever.. wouldn't he have done it back when he was robusto?

I agree that the money manager thing is not appropriate. it will probably take a fairly creative stroke to come up with something that is....
