ok i heard about looking at your cards only when its your turn FOREVER while i was learning to play. then recently i read an article that said this is stupid because
1) everyone now sees how you react when you see your cards, 2) no one ever, ever changes action because someone looks *too* interested ahead of them unless they're playing with the biggest freakin tellbox in history, 3) if you can hide tells for the rest of the hand, just DON'T act interested/disinterested after looking at your hand now, and 4) yes, it does slow up the game. i'm convinced that this has become the biggest myth of advice in poker. |
