Do this at night, but first turn off the light. Your mind will start to fill in features it thinks should be there or that some part of you somehow wants to be there -- or is afraid will be there. Extremely seriously freaky.

Also works when staring at a big portrait painting. Awesome with some of the Van Goghs, which can be really intense and have a radiant feeling because of all the swirling and concentric lines and colors. LOL psychologicalbreakdownaments.
