Re: THE ISLE TRIP REPORT
I also played all day at the Best Bet in Jacksonville. As you propobably noticed, the House was taking its rake "immedaitely." Meaning, even if there was not a flop, the house would rake the first $2. From a practical stand point, this means there is no real reason for Chopping. Our table decided to just check down and run out the cards. This of course, like Chopping, can be agreed upon by the individual players. Unfortunately, I had three unlucky hands (I will not bore you with the details - but I was 4:1 favorite on two {all money in pre-flop} and 5:1 favorite on the other when all the money went it on the other) that tunred a good day in to a not so good day. My only comment was that when a chip runner would color-up a player, they would not leave a marker with the player to show how much they were behind. There would be some controversy of the player went all-in, while the chip runner took $100 of that players, to color up. There was some absolute terrible play; therefore, despite my results, I think the Poker Room will be a place that some oney can be mnade.
