Why does Steve Carell keep getting cast in movies?

Well since Evan Almighty brought this thread to mind, I'll start by saying I've always thought Jim Carey was hilarious.

Other people I find funny... hmmm... pretty much any cast member from the early 90s SNL, the supporting guys on Seinfeld, Bill Murray, Dave Chapelle, I could go on for a while.

But back to what's important! Established comedians that I DON'T find funny at all. Ben Stiller. Vince Vaun (sp?). EVERYONE on Mad TV and the last decade of SNL.
