There is no way that the tables average 40 hands per hour. I've counted and counted and counted. On average, (and the dealers are expected but are not held to this) each table is expected to get in 15 hands during each of their 30 minute intervals at the tables. Not every dealer reaches this EVEN WITH THE AUTOMATIC SHUFFLERS. I invite everyone to count the hands next time they play. Now there are some really really fast dealers but they still only get in about 35 hands per hour and that is on the high side.
