Default Re: New Cards -- But Are They New & Improved?

Memo to Harrah's:

I've heard in your quest to unveil a "hip" or "snazzy" looking playing card for the WSOP, you have experimented with a deck that has been roundly rejected by the players. With that in mind, I've cooked up a few prototype designs you may be interested in for the WSOP 2008. They update the playing card for the 21st century without causing any confusion on the players' part.

Now, these were all MSPainted, so they're pretty crude, to say the least. For example, the actual cards will all be the same size, and the graphics properly centered. However, I think these will give you an idea of the general direction we want to take the next generation of playing cards. Here are examples of everything we've been trying out, stylistically. I think you'll agree they're much more cutting-edge than your stodgy "standard" deck or the freakish design unveiled on an unwitting public at this year's WSOP.

If those cards are a little too visually stimulating, we're also working on a lineup of "modern" playing cards. You can see our first prototypes below.

Anyway, if anyone at Harrah's is reading this, feel free to PM me regarding your company's interest in these new lines of cards.
