Default Re: Anyone else hate limit?

I aspire to earn a living off limit, but first I have to learn how to play it.

I'm not going to say which is more complex, but I do believe that as a beginner NL can be very profitable if you play like a rock and are not afraid to push all your chips in with a premium hand pf &/or flop.

Using this strategy, NL is essentially a game of two betting rounds that is usually played out against 1 other person, or on a rare occasion 2 others.

Needless to say your equity edge against such a small number of opponents goes way up.

Now consider Low Limit Hold'em, and not being able to push people off the "5-9"'s etc?

Limit is a game of 4 betting rounds and usually multiway, this IMHO is much more difficult for the beginner, and tight PF play isn't going to get the money when the multitide of junk hands are staying to the end.

That's why on any given night, I could probably make a small profit in a No-Limit game, but Limit I struggle.
