But wasn't he ready to sacrifice himself for Charlie at the end? Considering he is weighing the life of Charlie, someone he barely even knows, vs ever seeing his beloved again I think we can cut him some slack if he has struggled over the issue of saving Charlie. Yet every time he ends up doing (or trying to do) the right thing.
