My wife noticed the same thing.

BTW, I did think some of the flashbacks were uber-cheesy... but in the end I didn't mind it because I actually started to feel for Charlie and really all we were doing was 'celebrating' the best moments in his life.

Also, he has to die in the finale. It would make no sense to have an episode called "Greatest Hits" like this, which was more or less Charlie memoirs, and then have him live.

Of course, how often does Lost follow trends, eh?

So pumped for next week.
