Default So I applied to this job....

TO make a long story short I aggressively applied to this job at Royal Bank of Canada Dexia.(www.rbcdexia-is.com) for a "Derivatives Representative" position. I followed up today because I recently graduated and got a call arranging an interview. The problem is that I cannot for the life of me find the old job description. When he called to arrange the interview he emphasized twice it was an entry-level job (this is good because I wouldn't stand a chance otherwise).

My dilemma is this, I do not know how to study for the position without the job description. There is this VERY similar job at the exact same location called "Derivatives Administrator", which appears to be entry level as well (pays 40-45k). This job requires a wide range of software knowledge which I feel would be too much for an entry level job:

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for performing valuation, reporting and reviewing the assigned Domestic and /or Global investment fund clients accounts within stated deadlines: adhering to the terms of "Generally Accepted Accounting Principles", Income Tax Act, Trust Agreement/ Prospectus and internal policies
DERIVATIVES
•Verify and analyze a variety of derivatives products including Forwards, Futures, Options and Swaps
•Setup and input derivative trades into REDS database for valuation
•Price derivative holdings using Bloomberg, Reuters and FINCAD
•Calculate MTM for all open positions and posting to respective reporting platform
•Generate derivative reports for the Fund accounting and Investor Reporting groups.
•Perform compliance reporting for compliance department and fund managers.

ANYWAYs, Im not sure how to approach this position and do not even know what a Derivatives Representative does. I am hoping that its not the job described above though. I feel calling in and asking if the positions are the same could severely backfire. I was thinking of even emailing workopolis to see if they would give me an old job description…..but the interview is Friday morning….

Does anyone have any suggestions? Obviously I will study RBC Dexia as a company....

Thanks!
