Politicians are distrusted because they make lots of stupid mistakes, not because they're planning on staging a coup at bkholdem's place.

What about the junkie that broke into my house at 2 am to rob the place and came at me with a knife?

One of the politicians stupid mistakes to make heroin illegal so that this guys habit cost $200/day instead of $10/day which drove him to breaking and entering homes to acquire money and goods to trade for drugs instead of begging for the $10/day to buy a quart of booze like all the alcoholics do instead of attacking innocent people.

So the politicians created the circumstances that lead to this guy (who had stabbed people before btw) to a life of crime by making his drug illegal. I don't need to worry about a politician charging at my house, I have luckilly survived a dopesick junkie doing so stealthily under the cover of darkness. I also plan to survive if I am unfortunate to have a similar event occur in the future.

And now I am entrusted with the life of my wife, and possibly the life of a child in the not to distant future. Do you recommend that I wave a sign that says 'breaking and entering and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon are illegal, please cease and desist' in front of the next dope sick junies face that takes similar actions?
