[ QUOTE ]
I'm mulling a return to cash games after a nasty downswing at SNGs. I used to play 50NL and some 100NL, but was never really beating the games for much at all. That being said, I decided the best way for me to return is to start small and crush 25NL. Let's pretend I know NOTHING about the current state of 25NL. Five tips on what I need to do to succeed here and in micro-stakes in general? [/ QUOTE ] 1. don't bluff too much or even ever. 2. don't be scared to play loose in the blinds versus decent tags. 3. Don't figure the tags for good, they usually aren't. Don't expect them to fold just because you've represented something, they probably won't. 4. Raise big cards versus fish on blinds who call too much. Raise any cards versus people who fold too often. 5. Cbet and giveup a lot versus a lot of different opponents. There's not a ton of playing back. obviously value bet. I almost never fold overpairs at 25NL, and I think its a leak if you start. |
