And every other word out of color commentator's mouths wrt to Sabonis was how he might be the best big man to have ever played in his prime (Bill Walton alone put this guy on the map). His Blazer teams had deep playoff runs and got a lot of national attention.

Next time you go to a NBA game, go up to 100 random people there and ask them to name their top 5 centers of all time in their prime. Then ask for top 10. You'll see why Sabonis is underrated.
