I have a group of guys that I play with pretty regular. I tell them to invite atleast one or two friends each time we play. It seems to be working. Ask everyone you know, ask them if they'd like to learn how to play if they don't know how too.
Tell them to come over a little earlier before the game starts and show them the basics, I've let people watch an entire game and the next game I've had they are in it. Works everytime. Keep your buy-ins low or atleast not out of the reach of a beginner player. Be friendly with these people, get to know them, ask for their email address, ask for thier cell or phone numbers. Always invite them to play. Usually when I contact them, they will ask if they can bring a friend... ...and so on, and so on, etc. I'm hoping to reach my max for players in about another tournament or two (which is 18). If it gets any bigger than this I will have to move it out to the two car garage and build another table (my wife will kill me for sure ). Good Luck!
