I just watched Fitzcaraldo and the documentary about it called Burden of Dreams.
Both films are excellent. I like the documentary because it shows how everything you see on the film is pretty much real, and it is awesome seeing the parallels between Fitzcaraldo and Herzog, both very stubborn about fulfilling their crazy projects.

yeah, it's pretty insane how they actually pulled that boat over the hill. herzog was better back then: he's lost some of his edge.
