Wow, now I understand what happened the other day. I had AA, managed to get it all in pre-flop with three other callers, one had KK, one had QQ, and one had QJ.
It must have been Ivey who had the KK since the board was KQ7K5 for quad kings!! That's it, Ivey plays everywhere and gets all the luck involved in the World. Do you understand that depending on the pot odds that calling with a set is warranted even if you KNOW the other person has a straight? This has nothing to do with luck. I would bet that much of what you considered to be luck is actually nothing more than good poker. |
