Upcoming WSOP Question?

I've been a winning player online for the last 6 years. Most of my wins have been in FR limit HE between 1/2 and 5/10 mostly 2/4. I've had a little success in NL tourneys online, but I don't consider myself a good tournament or NL player. I was looking at the WSOP schedule earlier tonight, and I'm thinking about making a trip out and playing one of the $1500 events.

Am I just blowing off the money if I do this? I know it would be a cool experience, but I'm not really into wasting my buy in. Also, how are the cash games out there doing the WSOP?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
