At first you think, yes, stop it and let the cat live!

But on the other hand, If I one day read in the newspaper that a guy was judged in court to have his hand cut off for torturing a cat, I'd prolly go "WTF didn't we leave the medievil system ages ago?".

Will the dude know that he loses his hand if he proceeds?
