New $1 coin- would the changes make YOU use them?

yikes, me either. Really, they should simply make the half dollar size the new $5 coin

The half dollar coin is too big.

A $5 coin that was the weight and size of the £1 coin (slightly smaller diameter than a quarter but almost twice as thick), or the old 5 guilder coin would be much better. Very easy to identify from a handful of coins in your hand.



But as The Metetron and others have said, what we really need to do is ditch the penny.
