FWIW I do not oppose to eating animals.
I just oppose to these cruel and wasteful practices.

so if you had your own self sustaining farm where animals were treated humanely and you could kill them in a way that was humane you would eat meat?

Is there some sort of cruelty-free meat company? I bet that they'd do pretty well even with higher prices.

I would bet against that. Mass appeal is for lower prices, not being nice to cows.

There was something on last night,PBS I think, about Whole Foods. At one point they mentioned introducing "animal compassionate" meat products- here is a link to their web sight explaining it.

I for one don't care so I will choose the less expensive meat everytime.
