[ QUOTE ]
Would your recommendation be to just wait for the funds to clear then? Or is there a way for me to talk to the branch manager without mentioning gambling? [/ QUOTE ] Personally i'd wait for them to clear. At this point coming back in after you've made the deposit is probably going to look more suspicious and draw more attention to you than you want. I'd just let the check clear which should only be another couple banking days.\ If you did want to call, I'd call up the bank's main number and just ask to see if the deposit was misplaced (ideally you should have your deposit slip handy) because you hadn't seen the money hit your account. You could also do this in person - just walk in with the deposit slip and ask if they bank made a mistake. Don't mention anything about them holding the money, just act like you made any other normal deposit, waited a couple days, and didn't see the money so you wanted to check it didn't go to the wrong account or something. |
