Default Re: Curtains vs PoG

OK now that primatech paper company appears to be done sending out text messages for the night.. back to the game...

Here is the issue I came up with...

[ QUOTE ]
With 48.Kc5 Nxg5 49.Bxg5 Kxg5 50.Kd4 followed by 51.Ke3 White draws easily.

[/ QUOTE ]

After 50. Kd4 Kg4 I was able to misplay this for white and lose. The problem is that if white gets a pawn fixed on the 3rd rank and if that pawn drops, it does not matter if white has the opposition. Right.. well known basic pawn endings stuff... So in goofing off I was able to do that. The point is that the K at g4 controls f3 even with the white king at e3 cause f3+ just drop the g pawn. If white king gives way we get f3 for our king and it gets messy still....

So if all that is true, or possible some of that is true... 50. Kd4 may be a mistake and 50. f3 might avoid that "stuff" and give white the draw....
