[ QUOTE ]
I actually hate the "24 Hours of real time" concept. I mean, it doesn't add much other than the clock intro/outro and they do it poorly: something real suspenseful will happen before a commercial break and 4 minutes later there's no resolution of this supposedly imminent threat. [/ QUOTE ] I'm in the minority in that I agree. It was a cool concept in season 1, where you knew that Palmer was going to be targeted that day. But by season 4, the fact that all this happens in one day is absurd. Same with season 5. President Palmer, a very recent and very popular president, is assassinated, and Logan goes on with business as usual. In the real world, President Ford, a very unpopular president from 30+ years ago, dies of natural causes, and the Federal Government shuts down. Just have everything happen within a month, and it will be much more believable. |
