Wasn't Green Bay 8-8. 2 of the teams you named were division opponents. The Jets played in the toughest record wise division in the AFC. So basically they got in the playoffs because they got to play Oakland???

The Jets made the playoffs because they made clutch plays, were well coached, and had excellent special teams. Defensive and Offensive ranking isn't the only measure of a football team. This game is not as statistically clear cut as baseball is. The coachign and play calling matters.
