I think you're being a nit. The spirit of the OP seemed to mean the best MMA fighter. David might only know it as UFC or might not know of the other organizations out there.

I was also going on this assumption. UFC is the dominant brand in the US, so many people just call it ultimate fighting. I think the point is the same either way.
