Need some advice

I am currently 20 my soon to be spouse and i have finished paying off our home and no longer have car payments, i currently have 14k stored in a low interest saving, our income is not great but does excede what we have to spend monthly. I am looking for a good starting point when it comes to investments, i recently purchased a few small CDs but aside from this just have money waiting to make money. Any advice is appriciated, sugestion for books etc are welcomed thanks in advance
