Don't you think it's a good idea to wait for the turn and see if he wants to play for stacks? A big turnbet would weigh his range towards trips and I can get out, and a smaller bet size would weigh towards a flushdraw, bluff or maybe a smaller pair (although unlikely).

And if the turn is a club I can make a cheap exit.
