Default i get played back at WAY less when i dress well

i'm about six feet tall with long hair and a beard, and typically look like [censored] (last weekend i wore pajamas and flip flops to a tournament, and reaked of bourbon)

when i go on weekend gambling excursions (as opposed to just going for the day), i dress much better with khakis and a button down shirt and an expensive watch with nice shoes

in short, it is easy for me to run over the table when i dress nicely, and i have to play a much more relaxed tight game when i look like a shitbag.

do you think there is any truth to this, or am i just changing my own play based on how i already perceive them judging my play? (self fulfilling prophecy)
