Default Re: Kid gets tasered in UCLA library...for no reason

The university owns the library and they make policies about who can enter. Student can enter of course, provided they abide by the policies, which he was not. The second he is asked to leave by the library officials and refusing he is trespassing. Did he expect the library to make an exception for him, "Na you don't need id, that's just a policy for everyone else"

He did leave within 5 minutes of being asked. In fact, he was on his way out when the real police came.

I mean come on, they can't make a small exception during midterms when it was probably obvious that he's a student? You're typing up a research paper and are finishing up a thought/idea ..or you found a really good source to help you but want to save some of it's contents.. you quit RIGHT THEN and there when the library staff ask you to leave? Come on.

oh come on... thats your argument? you clearly do not understand what I am saying. So WHAT if he was leaving? The cops have every right to question him and stop him from running out. They have no idea if he is a student or not. And using your brilliant deduction skills, how are they suppose to know he is a student if he as already packed up everything and on is way out?

as for the library staff asking him to leave, thats a completely different topic. When he refused MULTIPLE TIMES (its not like he was making an effort to leave, he just plain REFUSED), they called the cops, THATS when he started making an effort to leave, but by then, it was too late. If he gave the library enough time to warn him multiple times, call the cops, and have the cops arrive, he is an idiot.
