Default Re: I\'m shocked that these arb threads are still going.

I'm less concerned with the posting of arbs at well-known square books than I am with the attitudes expressed by many towards the original poster that anybody who thinks certain information should be withheld is a "greedy bastard." In fact, in several of the arb threads, I've offered assistance explaining which side of the arb is the obvious "soft side" and suggested taking a position on the "soft side" rather than wasting time with an arb (unless the bettor has a very small bankroll.) I've also offered assistance with explaining the value of half points in different sports, etc. That sort of stuff is all amateur stuff but at least I'm taking the time to do it, and for most people, information is more valuable than a specific bet.

Sharing this sort of information is a lot different than encouraging people to max out bets at shaky, low limit square books. I certainly disagree that some of the books mentioned in these threads have "excellent financials and are well regarded."
