Default balt999 NBA PICK OF THE DAY (Nov 6) -- Introduction and Pick

First of all, I want to say I’m a huge lurker of this site and an avid NBA bettor. I’ve been betting NBA for the better part of 2 years and have done fairly well. I figured I’d give you my picks and see how I measure against everyone else. I’m not a big parlay or teaser bettor. I like to pick one game and make a big bet on it.

My philosophy on NBA betting is based on matchups and certain trends, but I put a huge emphasis on the intangibles of a game. For example, many teams don’t play their hardest in afternoon games especially if their on the road. It’s the nature of human, they get up earlier than usually in a different city and it ruins their daily routine. This intangible also comes into play when a team plays an afternoon then plays their next game at home the next day. Most teams just go through the motions ready to go home. I know this is a little unorthodox, but when you are betting on people and their personalities, it’s a huge factor.

With that, I’m going to give you one pick everyday with a brief synopsis on why I chose them.

My first pick is for Nov 6th: I’m looking at Sacramento (-5) over Minnesota. This will be Sacramento’s home opener playing Minnesota who blew a 16 pt lead against Portland Saturday. They’ve had a day to stew this one over in Sacramento…Looks a recipe for disaster for Minnesota. Lay the 5 and take Sacramento.

My Pick: Sacramento (-5) (1 unit) 0-0 ATS
