Default So what now with the Internet Poker?

So now that Celebrity Internet Poker Players like KaneKungFu who used to kill $50/100 HU NL are grinding it out at $5/10 NL, what becomes of the Internet Poker Pro? Does he cease to exist as a cultural phenomenon? DavidRoss is another high-flyer who has recently crashed to Earth. He went from playing $15/30 limit to $1/2 NL.

Here's what I think these events portend: First, the mid-level games ($10/20 NL thru $25/$50 NL and $15/30 limit thru $30/60 limit) dry up and there simply become very few games left available at those limits. This is basically already happening. Next, the former sharks at the mid-levels move down to the low limits ($2/4 NL thru $5/10 NL and $3/6 limit thru $10/20 limit). The mid-limit sharks slowly clean out the low-limit grinders. Since the low-limit grinders were playing for money and not as a form of recreation, those guys basically disappear. This leads to fewer and fewer tables available at the low limits. Eventually, the whole system collapses in on itself and we start to see either (a) consolidation amongst the Internt poker sites or (b) the poker sites just go out of business.

I think this is the beginning of the end for Internet Poker. There is no doubt in my mind that I-poker has jumped the shark.

What say you?
