Default Re: When In Doubt, Donk It! (NC Thread)

I passed!!!

Barely, but I passed. One of my committee members thinks my project is fundamentally flawed, and they want me to clean up my written proposal and resubmit it. But I passed and earned the title of Master of Science.

I'm currently drinking an oversized glass of Chateau Ste Michelle's Indian Wells 2003 Cabernet. It's a truly spectacular cab for just $15. Things that will also be consumed tonight:

Whidbey's Liqueur, a loganberry liqueur made on Whidbey Island, WA, that's almost impossible to find outside of the Seattle/Sound area. I've been saving this one bottle for this very night for the last year and a half. Women will trade sex for glasses of this

Dogfish Head World Wide Stout. 18% ABV, and oooooh soooo good.

Ommegang Three Philosophers Ale. A blend of a quadrupel and a cherry lambic. Delicious, and amenable to the girls I have coming over to celebrate with me. Don't tell them, but it's 11% ABV.

Germain-Robin XO Brandy. Quite honestly the best spirit I've ever tasted. At $100/bottle (and the price went up since I bought it), this is the most balla thing in my bar.

Lagavulin 16 year, Highland Park 18 year, Glenfiddich 18 year. Scotch, Scotch, Scotch.

Blanton's, Old Van Winkle 12 year, Knob Creek. One of the best bourbons on the market, and two other great ones.

Weingut Max Ferd Richter's 2003 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett. A German wine maker whose $11 Riesling was the best Riesling I'd ever had, and this was their $16 bottle. We'll see about it, but I expect great things.

For those of you keeping score, that's 3 bourbons, 3 Scotches, 3 beers, 2 wines, 1 liqueur, 1 brandy, and a partridge in a pear tree. If that's still not enough, I plan on hitting up the usual suspects in my bar. It's going to be a good night.
