Default Re: Top10 college teams (10/4/2006)

Florida moved the ball decently early when LSU used a 3 man front. LSU quickly adjusted and shut them down.

I agree with you about LSU & a lot of what you're saying but this just isn't accurate. I have the tape.

Moore's good runs on the first drive were against 4-3s, nickel packages with 4 man fronts & one 3 man front that I saw, but each time linebackers in the box as well. Tebow running over people on his first run was against a 4-3 with 2 safeties instantly helping in run support and he still ran them the hell over.
Florida's drive to end the half wasn't against 3 man fronts either. They dominated that drive completely.

[ QUOTE ]

LSU moved the ball with ease and were about to punch in their second td in their first 3 drives of 70 yards+.

[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. They were dominating early.

[ QUOTE ]

They were not dominated at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe not dominated by our offense but they were dominated in special teams, hitting, emotion. Minus the first LSU pick & fumble, it's not like they just handed us the ball. We out hit the most physical team in the country.

I'm beginning to understand why you think Ohio State of 2002 was one of the best champions despite probably being in the bottom half of Buckeye teams over the past 15 years.

Me too. Les Miles = Ron Zook.
