Holy crap.

It took a friend of mine's quick eye, but 7 million or so Americans saw me next to a guy the Republicans are trying to take down as a liar.

I nearly fell over dead.

Kirk Fordham -- former chief of staff to Mark Foley -- resigned yesterday. He had most recently worked for Congressman Tom Reynolds, whose district covers Rochester and Buffalo.

Here's the funny thing: it seemed that no news outlet in the country could get a picture of this guy. There was no newspaper record picture of him, none from his old boss' website, nothing. Everyone was desperate for just one picture of him.

Then, websites found one. A small newspaper here in Rochester did a story about Fordham on his first day on his new job one year ago. I was there at the press conference.

If you go to video.msn.com, watch the story called "Hastert takes responsibility for Foley." At 2:50, NBC airs the still picture they finally tracked down of Fordham. And there I am, laughing with him on his first day at work.

I wonder how many people think I'm a Mark Foley staffer. Heh.
