Default Re: Brainstorming: Ways Around the Internet Ban

The "play" money seems to be the best idea. How a poker site gets the money to you can be figured out, but it should be simple.

For those of you who have friends and relatives outside of the U.S., have them open a second bank account and and sign up with the poker sites - you can then play from the U.S., but all the transactions take place abroad.

Come to think of it, Party should become just such a relative and friend.

And I'm quite appalled by the defeatist attitude of many posters here - oh well, it was good while it lasted. Do you have any idea what a colossal infringement this is on your rights? Do you even know about the main bill passed this week suspending "habeas corpus"? We're all in deep manure - AND THAT MEANS YOU. When do you get outraged, when Dick Cheney himself comes to your porch and takes a dump?

On the other hand, this might be the message: get out of the U.S. while you still can. Things can only get worse.
