[ QUOTE ]
Check my Thailand thread. No offense but American women IME suck, at least when compared to Thai/Philliphina/Vietnamese (i mean born there, part of that culture) women. They don't question their man in public, they cook and clean for him, they are very selfless and giving and basically are just awesome with regard to how they treat him. American women are kinda the opposite and are very concered with equality and independence etc. These things are not attractive to me in a woman. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree completely with this line of thinking in every way possible. Most importantly, I don't think that the problem with American women is that they are concerned with equality and independence. I think the major problem is that they say they're concerned with equality and independence, but really are more concerned with how much money I make and how tall I am. That and the fact that "independence" almost seems like a code word for "cheat on your boyfriend/finace/husband without feeling guilty, because you don't want them to control you." Several of my closest friends are married though (most of them this summer), and by and large their wives are great. They are independent, selfless, caring, and I think excellent people. They are also individuals with their own minds and personalities who are most certainly equals in their respective relationships. That's not cost, that's benefit. |
