When trying to decide what to get from the vending machine or what to eat or order, I try to find some method to randomize my decision. If I have a coin I'll flip it, or I'll push both buttons on the machine at once and see which one registers.

Also, a couple times on long car trips back from the casino alone when i've felt really tired, I'll scream obscenities about girls I fantasize about as a means of keeping myself awake after all the usual tricks have been exhausted, (opening the window, turning the radio up etc.)
