the first two i thought of when i saw the topic were gimme shelter and chaos ad (sepultura). stones probably because it's featured in the recent scorcese trailer, and sepultura because i think it ranks highly in the "songs that start great but taper off" category. somebody mentioned hey you, i think one of these days beats that for floyd songs. i want albert pujols to use it as his at-bat music.

there are billions of ways to interpret good leadoffs. i think most of them are going to end up being good songs. for my money, baba o'reilly is probably the best.
