I find carcases of mice, birds, squirrels, and small rabbits in my yard all the time.

I'm inclined to beleive that my cat is killing them (as I've seen him kill the mice a few times), as the only other option is that people driving by are tossing small dead animals into my yard, and my yard is on top of a hill that slopes down to the street on 2 sides, so I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Cats will kill a bunch of things. Survival of teh fittest baby.
